Hi guys!

So this is a post I’ve been meaning to publish for a while. You see, in January, my family drove up to Hunter Valley Gardens so see the Christmas Light Spectacular.

For those of you who don’t know, Hunter Valley Gardens is basically a massive display of international gardens. It’s really breathtaking on it’s own, but we went whilst the Gardens were still decorated in Christmas Lights, which in some ways made it even prettier. We held out until after Christmas to go, because it’s less busy then, and I took a whole bunch of photos which I thought some of you particularly may like to see (I’m looking at you, Garden Talents).  😉

We arrived before nightfall, so we had plenty of time to have a look around before it got dark. The first place we looked at was (ironically) the Rose gardens, which looks really pretty when all the flowers are in full bloom.  ❤

In the centre of the Rose Gardens, there’s also this monument to a grandmother (it reminds me a bit of the Sound of Music).

After that we moved on to look at the rest of the lights.

The next place we stopped at was the ‘Christmas Around the World’ display. There was also a dinosaur display set up at the same time we went to see the lights, so there were these life sized models everywhere. There was even one that looked like it was about to take a chomp out of the Collusiem!  😛

Next was Storybook Gardens!

After this, we walked for a bit longer, and came across the North Pole.

Our next destination was an area called Candyland!  😀

There was also a Fairy Garden:

That was all the themed areas, but I did take a few other pictures:

Overall, it was a really cool experience. I’d love to go back again one day and do a cosplay photoshoot (during the day, of course).

So, what do you think? Would you want to visit the Hunter Valley Gardens? Which place was your favourite, and which picture did you like the most? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading,

 – Rose  ❤
