Another year is coming to a close, and with it, the end of the 2010’s!

I don’t think I quite realised just how long ten years was until I started to think about everything that’s happened since 2010, in my personal life, the lives of the people around me, and the world in general.

Ten years ago, my world consisted of my home town and the people that lived in it. I was still a child, with a wild imagination and the false notions that life would always be as simple as it was then, that everyone was kind and the world was perfect. Obviously, that is not the way the world is, and as I got older the filter I’d been seeing it through began to fade as I learnt more, understood more, experienced more. The world is amazing and beautiful, but it’s also scary and cruel. I’m still learning things, because we always are, and I wonder how different my outlook will be in another decade’s time because of that.

2019 certainly didn’t go the way I expected. At the beginning of the the year, I thought I had a good picture of where I would be by the end, but some unforeseen trials were thrown my way that knocked me off my feet completely and forced me to come to some realisations I’d been blind to previously. It was alsoΒ a year of spontaneity, in many ways. Lots of last minute plans and split second decisions that resulted in experiences I may never have had if I’d hesitated or passed on the opportunity.

It’s become a bit of a tradition to share some photos from the past twelve months at the end of year, so here’s some pictures I took in 2019! πŸ™‚

Holidays

My family took a trip to Dubbo this year, a town in Australia famous for it’s zoo. I was lucky enough to get a proper camera for my birthday this year, so it was an excellent chance to try it out! I’d love to share more photos I took whilst we were there in future, but here’s a few of my favourites! πŸ˜‰

Sydney Events

A lot of my trips to Sydney this year were to be a part of live audiences for different TV shows. Tickets are free, so the only cost was transport, and I love learning about behind the scenes stuff, so it was really interesting to find out how each show was recorded. Over the course of the year, we went to Dancing With the Stars, The Voice, The Interview, Celebrity Name Game, The Masked Singer and The Sunday Project. πŸ™‚

(To explain the final pic – I put an emoji over my friend’s face at her request, so she could keep some anonymity) πŸ˜‰

Conventions

Conventions are always a highlight of my year – I didn’t take as many photos at them this year, so I only have a few:
